At Ingenta’s annual publishers meeting, held in advance of Online Informatio in December 2006, TBI was invited to present its thoughts on new revenue opportunities for publishers. The presentation focused on the core themes of releasing value within a publisher’s database, online advertising opportunities, and the potential of evolving technologies to create new products and services for existing and new markets.

TBI ran a breakout session at the 2006 annual meeting of the United Kingdom Serials Group on the growing importance of branding for libraries. The presentation was subsequently presented as an article and published in the UKSG’s journal Serials in June 2006.

At the annual Publishers Association meeting (medical section) held in June 2005, TBI presented on the changing role of publishers in the new environment for scholarly publishers and the importance of marketing strategy for increasing visibility and engaging more directly with readers, authors and buyers.
